HOW YOU CAN GET RID OF YOUR ACNE ONCE & FOR ALL!
If you ask your doctor about using an acne diet, he (or, she) will probably tell you that they don't work and are just a waste of your time. This wide spread belief is largely due to 2 "landmark" studies completed in 1969 & 1971 that appeared to show that there was no direct relationship between diet and acne. Both studies concluded that acne breakouts were the result of a genetic "glitch" that causes your body to produce too much sebum oil, the root of all zit formation. That being the case, using an acne diet would be of absolutely no benefit.
Recently, however, those "studies" have been peer-reviewed and found to be fatally flawed and their conclusions, at best, inaccurate.
I'm not a doctor, so I can't speak to the genetics of it all, but, I find it absurd for anyone to believe that things we put into our body have no effect on it's reaction to those things. If you try to tell that to the anti-tobacco folks, or the people at Alcoholics Anonymous, you're probably in for a very heated argument.
Even the medical community understands that a good diet and reasonable lifestyle will greatly improve your overall health and quality of life, so why would acne be any different?
The truth is...it's not any different! And, I'm going to use the rest of this article to explain exactly why I believe this to be true, and how making some small lifestyle changes and adopting a proper acne diet will totally eliminate your acne once and for all.
People that practice holistic healing have long known that acne is not a skin disease, but is rather a skin condition that is being caused by another, maybe more serious problem deep within your body. In laymen's terms, your body is experiencing an imbalance of it's natural state by becoming overloaded with hormones, chemicals, and/or toxins.
Of course, this happens to all of us, but we don't all react the same way to the problem. Some of us are blessed with bodies that have a high natural tolerance to these overloads and are able to eliminate the foreign material through their natural waste process.
Others (like me) aren't so lucky. For whatever reason, our body is unable to remove these chemicals and hormones through the natural processes and must find another way to get rid of the excess. If, like me, you suffer from acne, your body is most likely emulsifying the material in sebum oil (the root of all acne formation) and sending it out through your skin. Your problems begin when your body makes too much sebum. The oil will pool in your skin pores and hair follicles, providing a perfect environment for the P-acne bacteria (present on everyone's skin) to breed.
The bacteria invade the pools of oil and begin breeding more & more, all the while emitting an enzyme that is necessary for their purposes, but will irritate surrounding skin cells if it becomes excessive.
Your body views this irritation as an infection and sends white blood cells to fight it. As time passes, you have more breeding, more emzymes, and more white blood cells. Eventually the pore becomes clogged and you've got yourself a nice, new zit!
The Acne Diet Tie-in...
By now, you're probably wondering what the hell all of this has to do with your diet in general, and adopting an acne diet in particular.
Well...Where do your suppose all of those chemicals, toxins, and excessive hormones come from?
For most of us, acne first appeared in our early teenage years when going through puberty caused our natural hormone production to run wild. There's not a lot we can do about that, but there are some foods that just add fuel to the already-raging fire.
A perfect example is milk. Every glass contains fifty nine different hormones that came from the cow and additional hormones that were present in the steroids that were given to the cow to stimulate milk production.
Do you seriously think that consuming all of these extra hormones won't aggravate your acne condition? And, that's just one example!
And...It Can Get Worse...
When (again, like me) your acne breakouts continue into your adult years, the most likely culprit is the chemicals that are used in everything from processed foods to your clothes. The last 50 or 60 years have brought us over 300 chemicals that keep our shirts bright, our food fresh, and are used in other countless ways.
The unfortunate fact is, your body sees these chemicals the same way that it saw the excessive hormones of your youth, and treats them the same way. Every meal you eat that contains processed foods just adds to the stuff that your body must purge.
So, do you still think that you have no use for an acne diet? If you can reduce, or, better yet, eliminate your consumption of the foods that contain all of this crap, then your body will no longer need to produce excess sebum oil and the reason for your acne outbreaks will go away naturally.
Finding The Right Acne Diet For You!...
There are more than a few acne diets out there, and a simple Google search will probably give you way more information than you need. But, I'd hate to bring you this far without mentioning the one acne diet program that I know works, because it's the one that I use.
The Acne No More! system was developed by Mike Waldon, a certified nutritionist and health consultant. I adopted this program almost 2 years ago and, after suffering from severe acne since I was 13, have had absolutely NO acne outbreaks in over 18 months (and, I've been grown for a long time!).
Mike's website can describe the program a lot better that I can, and I'll give you a link below. First, however, since I am on the program, there are a couple of things I think you should know...
- First...it works! For me, it took a bit of time for results to start showing, but, once things started to happen, I lost all traces of acne within about 90 days.
- Mike's formula is simple, but, it's not easy! If you're looking for a "quick & easy" solution to your problem, this isn't it. This acne diet program requires commitment on your part, and you're going to have to have the determination to see it through.
More than likely, you're going to have to give up some of the foods that you really enjoy, but, for me anyway, that was a small price to pay for acne free skin.
The thing is...I know from personal experience that the
Acne No More! acne diet program will work for you, too.
If you want it bad enough...
